Below is a collection of weapons I did for Final Rush, a sci-fi game where you fight off hordes of various robots. All concepts were designed by James Gammell. 2k Maps and rendered in UDK, all guns were finished within two to four weeks.
You can see more about the game by visiting the
Steam Greenlight page (add a thumbs up if you like it).
Thanks for viewing my work.

I have a crit though. It looks almost like there is no spec on these. This could come from your presentation lighting or from the actual spec map.
Metals are high in specular detail and medium to low in diffuse detail. I think your details in your diffuse are removing your specular's ability to convince us these are metal, and they are coming off flat and stone like.
Exaggeration in your spec map can help make the metal really shine.
Good work!
And thanks for the critique, Quack! The presentation lighting is probably part of the problem, but what you say about having too much information in the diffuse is ringing some bells... That could be one of the big problems with my material definition. As I mentioned earlier, I'll be doing some texturing exercises to bring that area of my skillset up to par. Thanks again!
