Jager's TideHunter Set

Hey everyone, thought I'd try to make some DOTA items over the summer break, so here we go.
I decided to revisit Tidehunter...a few months back I remember there being a DOTA contest for making items, but I had no experience with the game or any experience with any sculpting programs.
Well, now I know the game and have a little Zbrush experience under my belt, so let's do this

Here are the thumbs I've been working on:


I decided to go with the second one on the right column.

Here's my current progress, as soon as I'm done drawing this out I'm gonna jump into the sculpt:


I'm going for a Kraken meets Cthulu kind of thing(no wings though). I just want to emphasize the fact that he's a tank, so I'm armoring him up. Im currently drawing the back view and will have that up in a bit.

Let me know what you guys think, critiques are always welcomed:)

Sorry 'bout the lack of updates...I've been a little busy and haven't done too much to the set. I'm almost done with the mainhand weapon, all it needs is the rope and I can start retopo'ing.

Here's an update on the actual armor...it doesn't look like much, but it's actually a little more polished. Still need to push it though. Gonna see if I can get this done in the next couple days

Loving these designs, tidehunter is lacking proper body armour items but these designs solve that issue .

I'm probably gonna try some witch doctor stuff..I've been concepting some stuff, but nothing's clicked yet..him and Tide are my main heroes lol
