The news of the illness was so recent aswell. You guys should read all of the books. I'm currently on Player of games. It's about a guy that's pretty much the best gameplayer in the universe taking part in a super complex game that if you win, you become the emperor of the planet.

Noooo, he is one of my favorite authors, "Consider Phlebas" is always going to be one of my favorite scifi-books. So many of his books are so inspiring with lots of interesting ideas.

Really sad to hear that he's gone. I've read a bunch of his sci-fi books and his contemporary lit stuff too over the years. He was a writer of great style and even greater ideas. RIP.

Very sad news. My favorite sci-fi author. I was going to recommend reading "Matter" and then I started to think of all of his other books which were equally brilliant. Just read them all.
