I wish the shell wasn't so flat.

Turtle irises tend to either match the camouflage or are a reddish-orange rather than yellow, sometimes having a colored area around the iris.



You might also want to consider adding more colorful stripes to the turtle.

I'd say eyes look off. Depending on what you are going for, the eyes make it look like the turtle is in some Disney movie and is going to start talking to me.

I agree, except I don't consider it a bad thing. Yes, this turtle does look intelligent enough to talk. No that doesn't detract from the design.

this one is really cool!

Imo the eyes are fine but maybe some more details in the iris of the eye wouldn't harm.

Also I think the shell deserves a bit more silhouette too.

Want to play a game where you fight with these monsters .. super nice!!

He's pretty neat. If you gave him a shell more like a snapping turtle, he could almost be a realistic take on Bowser from Mario Brothers.

I do want him to look intelligent, but yeah I agree that the iris could use some more detail.
I played with a snapping turtle style shell, but I wasn't really getting great results so I just went with the smoother style. Which I like!
