At the end of the Middle Ages an old explorer discovered a mysterious parchment, which apparently belonged to an unknown advanced civilization. He decided to form a group of intellectuals to protect it from wrong hands. However, one of its members was ambitious, and was looking to sell the scroll to Rudolph II, who paid good money for old books about alchemy. The group discovered their intentions and was persecuted by Rudolph IIs army. They decided to hide the book, expel the traitor, and create a fake copy, which described techniques about alchemy in a strange language and would ultimately result in Rudolf IIs library. Now, in 1950, I, Andrea Strauss, descendant of the old explorer, have to recover the real book, follow the clues described in the current "Voynich manuscript", and hide it from the descendants of the traitor, who seek revenge.
