The modeling looks pretty spot on. The one thing that really makes the image what it is I feel is the lighting and the reflections. Which engine do you plan to render this out of?
Okay cool, then for those who care. I just set up my cameras to the four shots i'll be working towards getting better.
Yeah so I realized as soon as I took off that huge halo around the lights. I basically had to relight the whole thing cause that what basically all my lighting so this is what I got so far after relighting everything.
you need to look up references when you do materials. Like all your specularity sharpnesses are wrong, making it look like really old and cheesy CG and give material definitions which are not right.
Some of your items would benefit from using the smoothing group.
Also the lemons texture looks, weird.
Some of the pots textures need to be re looked at. The metal and wood are not cutting it, with the harsh corners.
Oh, your plugs only have two holes (one top right, and the bottom).
Arod529 Yeah, I was thinking about doing chocolate cake but don't know oreos sorta one that debate.
Shrike Alright, Will do!
Zombieminteractive yeah, I rendered everything and I noticed as soon as everything was done and about to go to sleep Yeah Im going to rework the lemons and finsh up a few textures today.. Yeah weird thing about the wholes, they're all there they just dont render properly. Im going to vertex paint the inside to see if that will fix that problem..
Alright so I've been working on this but my renders are taking way too long..
I lower my samples from all my lights, and usually render at 50% this size, but I dont feel like its fast enough. So, Im thinking about starting all over from a clean slate and take things one object at a time. If anyone knows of any good maya work flows that would be awesome! This is what I have.. I've been trying to fix the lime but I seem to have no control on what the material does in maya. So yeah, i'll probably be starting over tomorrow.

Looks great. Only issue I have is the halo around the lights. It makes it look like a steamy bathroom more than a kitchen!
