I built a primitive skeleton based off a couple ortho drawings a found, then I mashed a bunch of shapes together in zbrush to get the basic mass there. Then sculpted the muscle forms based off some basic giraffe anatomy drawings I found and some detailed horse anatomy drawings I have.

did you find any decent reference for the shape of the pelvis? specifically any views from the top?

Sorry I just noticed you posted this now. I did not find any detailed pictures of any giraffe anatomy besides the ones we shared back and forth.
Mongrelman lol yea we glued some ping pong balls to a giraffe and gave him a rad bull.
