Gather reference, tons of it. A lot of your forms are off or simply incorrect. I would suggest starting simpler and doing studies of individual body parts before trying the full body. There are a ton of resources for artists on anatomy, but one of my favorites is this book:
If you are trying to work on anatomy you should understand how subtle it all is. What you have now are strange-shaped lumps that shoot out of where a general muscle group should go. Remember that a muscle is a bundle of fibers inserting and connection between bones, so they would never be blocky like you have it.
Try to sculpt something like this:
It's defined, but it's also all interconnected, not blocks divided by these cuts.
It would be a very good idea to do many drawings before moving to sculpture as well.
i toned down all the bumps
but im not sure its the style im looking for
does anatomy for video games is different from real world anatomy
like proportion wise?
i really like this style, where can i find more reference like this one?
It's fun to practice style and exaggerated proportions, but to truly excel you need a lot of foundational knowledge of realistic anatomy. I wouldn't worry so much about the style right now, that will come naturally over time.
The revision of your model is a big improvement. Keep working at it.
thanks Shiniku . i will practice the foundationals of realistic anatomy.
but i'm also trying to figure out some nice proportion
for a cool video game character.
