Hey polycount. Is it time for another comp character art comp yet?
I would like to suggest 2k tri and 1024 texture limits. Diffuse / Spec.
If anyone else has other preferred guidelines lets collaborate. Also if there is a spot on the forum for this kind of stuff, let me know.

2k tris is much too low and papery
I have a couple of suggestions
Final Boos challenge - folks have to model a final hyper boss
30k tris with the usual 2048 texture size
Meta human challenge- folks model a super hero or villain
20k tris usual texture
Old school hero challenge- folks model a character reminiscent of fellows from days of yore
or perhaps
that fusion challenge.
I am just throwing out I ideas, most of what folks like seems to be toough guy stuff though
3k male protagonist is cool. Maybe we could choose either protagonist or antagonist to have some people making the guy he'd be facing up against.
What era is the tough guy heroic male archetype in?
Past // fantasy knight type,
current // cop type
or
future // sci fi hero type?
Also, if you can think of more roles for each of them that would be cool, those are just classic ones that come to mind right away.
