I finished my first year of my 3D school Centre NAD a few weeks ago and I start my own project for this summer. As fan of Peter Jackson's movie, Lord of the ring, I'll modeling one character for video game, an Uruk-Hai!
Head (wip)
Face in Hi-res (suggestions before I make Typology and Texture are very welcome).
[EDIT]More angles
Body (wip)
I began with blocking in.
Begin shape of high-res. (I need trick to make hole/scratch Tshirt's cloth)
Any suggestions and comments are welcome!

Update on face:
I've mostly done topology. I've started diffuse.
I'm currently working on details of normalMap. I add many scratch and hard skin to make it more rought.
I'm currently working on another project (I need to practice Hard-edge surface, composition and lighting). I try to represent tree elements: Abandonned, "frozen, but hot", industrial.
Film noir Project is principally work on light. We were two on this project for eight weeks (with many others projects). My friend and I almost work together for composition/light and Nuke part. I modeled the room structure plus my props, animations and placed almost every details (bottle, cards). My friend did the bar, foot ramp and lamp.
[March, 2013]It is my first head project. Modeled in Zbrush, topology in 3Ds max, normal map in xNormal. Hair is made of many plane, and yes, I place every of them one by one.
Only head has arround 1800 triangles.
With hair is about 3500 triangle.

I got inspired by MTM 8 of Black Mesa (Half-life remake mod). I transform it into sweeper for Mars mine (blue is opposite of red sky color).
The robot has 20 250 triangles and 1024x1024 textures.
