Hi everyone. Hereby my WIP's for this awesome contest.
Im still in school, learning animation and modeling skills. Im 1st year.

I came out with this character thinking about combining modern world with the past. Treasure seekers nowdays use those metal-detectors. I wanted to use that item. So ive got some intventor dude, with a detector made of a coach wheel. Steampunk is the "brainwave". But all the equipment need to make sense, so i started out sketching first. Moodboarding, and started out modeling the separate items first.
Below i will post those examples during my progress. Hope it gives you inspiration.

I planned this upcoming weekend to finish the items for my model. Then start with the human Parts. I also look forward to make that detector device. Should be fun! I keep this one updated, Tnx for interest.

Hereby the rest of the assets i promised. Still working at the UV's. The biggest win here was the poly-count. This contest has a poly-count restriction, and i really want to make a nice character too, but won't let him down without tools. Otherwise the mistery never will revolve! (see my attachment pictures)

haha thats really cool, and clever, I like the gear. everyone is going for swords n guns and you have a metal detector, I like it

Tnx. It suits the story way more. Im aiming at the misterious plants. There is some info of them found in the voynich book. Still people don't know what it means. The backpack is somekind of mini laboratory. With the detector he reads in vegetation and other stuff. After that he can compare his info with the manuscript. Also DNA like stuff. My adventurer used to be a professor. But due to budget problems he needs a financial boost! He caught the voynich fever...

Allrighty then. I'm back on track. Got to finish off all the textures at the moment. But after a week hard study, i'm fresh to continue. So you all can expect new WIP's within a couple of days!
