Gurkha LAPV/Knight XV

Hey everyone, I've just started working on this piece. I've completed the vehicle before (full pipeline) about a year ago for a project, but it wasn't up to par with my personal standards.

The wheel wells and doors are from the old version - I'll be re-making those.

I'm splicing some elements in certain areas from the militarized (Gurkha) and the Luxory (Knight) versions; but they're very similar vehicles anyways.

Hey man, am liking this so far. You've got a few intersecting sections, such as the corner between the wheel arch cover and the front bumper. Also, some of your edges are very tight, you'll get a much better bake if you soften them up a bit.

The circles on the front grill also look skewed because the supporting geo is not symmetrical. The shapes themselves could be deeper too, or just ramp the edge angle inwards.

Overall this is nice, looking forward to seeing more!

    Thanks Walrus, appreciate the feedback!

The wheel wells were from the old iteration - put them in temporarily and they just didn't quite fit - hence the intersections.
Since the last post, I redid the wells and doors. Also made the circles a little deeper in sections.

The edges are still a bit harsh - but I'm making a note to go back in and soften them up a lot more before I call this done.

also spent about 5 minutes playing around with the car-paint material just to see what I could get -

Finished the low poly and the baking. Tri count is about 13k.
Going to go back in and add in the light grating, and place the final missing instances.

Created the color map, moving onto the diffuse next.
