Polycount meet-up: Seattle?

Myself and the other 2 fellows who hide behind the curtain here at Polycount (r13 and cheeseplus) will be in Seattle for the last week of May (the week of Memorial Day).

I thought I'd toss this out there to see who might be interested in doing an impromptu meet-up in Seattle?

None of us are from Seattle, so it'll be hard for us to organize something. This was more just me pinging the community in case there was interest and someone available to organize something.

Might I suggest the last XXX Burger Drive-in in Issaquah, exit 16 on I-90 eastbound?

They can fit all of us easy and it's not too far off the beaten path, plus food is decently priced.

Wouldn't that depend on where they are and if they can get rides? I assume they are going to be at Valve (Bellevue right?). Wouldn't it be safer just to have something near where they are staying so they can easily find/walk?

I thought the Tap House Grill in Bellevue was a pretty good spot. We ended up there after dinner for the last meetup. Granted, they are a bit pricey food-wise, but it is conveniently located (right near Valve and Bungie), and can handle a pretty big group, especially if reservations are made.

Yeah we'll be in Seattle proper. I think the boys are staying at the W.

Really the only dates that work for me are Monday (holiday) and Wednesday. Bit unfortunately since it falls on weekdays. Sunday night maybe, but the other 2 guys get in to town late Sunday night and will probably be a bit groggy. Maybe its a good idea to pass on a meet-up this time around?

I could still make it Wednesday night since I live in Seattle proper, but I can understand if others can't do it or if you guys will be too tired. I would be willing to give rides from Bellevue after work, but I couldn't promise a round trip.

There is a Starbucks at 4th and Seneca. Right across the street from there.

Or.. and this might be slightly easier for people to find parking cheaper.

Oasis Bubble Tea in the International District. Its a mile south of where you are all staying. But you can take the light rail at the 3rd and University Entrance and get off at the International District Exit. Kinda expensive though for such a short distance.

Monday at least for me, I could attend since I don't leave until Wed. Really want to meet Drew so we can have a proper battle of who is the true DREW.

EDIT: I just realized that I must have subconsciously forgotten Artists love alcohol. There are a quite a few bars on the way up to Capital or down in Pioneer Square/Pike Place area if someone ones to recommend one around there.

im sure the dudes who are in town are capable of taking a cab. Nerd bombing a bar seems goo--capitol club has lots of space and loves nerds, linda's doesnt give a fuck and has a lot of space, smith generally accomodates many. Unicorn is ultra nerd friendly and easy. This should not be so complicated.=O

We should just pick somewhere and people should show up if they can make it (including Adam & crew). If the place/time are inconvenient, we can always have more meetups in the future. Summer is coming and I'm sure we can create some opportunities to hang out (plus, PAX!).

From your list... what about Smith at 7pm on Wednesday? They have really nice long tables with benches and a good selection of beer/cocktails/food. Plus anyone driving over might actually be able to find parking around 15th (as opposed to down by Pike/Pine). Who's up for this?
