This is a total noob question, but I wanna get into modelling some more complex scenes, but I can't seem to wrap my brain around the idea of modeling and texturing streets or winding roads. Is there some guide out there that covers this? I can't seem to find any decent information via google, which seems to spit out a lot of street-art or miniature modeling (like model train scenery stuff...)
I figure you'd have to just use chunks of street and snap them together, but you wouldn't want to clog up your memory with dozens and dozens of unique objects, so you'd want to make fairly large chunks, yeah? I'm over-thinking this, I think...
Sorry If I posted in the wrong section.

You could make it modular, or you could do a seperate tiling mesh right above the terrain that fades on the edges.
