Hi everyone!
First post on the Dota 2 forums! I was really inspired by some animated couriers out there so I decided to work on one.
One of the best time I had as an artist was when I was modding Dawn of War with a group of friends seven years ago. I had to do everything for the units I was responsible of (model/textures/anim/fx/sounds/ui/stats/abilities) and it was a very rewarding experience.
Anyway, I thought Dota could bring back those good times, so I hope I will be able to make my stuff work in-game!
Here is the guy I've been working on. He's a little courier bug and I can't wait to make him move!

Not yet Spudnik but I made a screenshot from marmoset. I'm sure I'm gonna have to do some texture adjustments when I get to this point. I'm just starting to work on the rig right now, so as soon as I will have the skinning done, I will test it in-game.
Hudston, for the flying mode, he will just spread his back shells like a beetle. It should be fun to animate his four legs dangling in the air

Does anyone know how to kill your courier without a tower in the game preview mode? I also wonder why it's not showing the portrait I defined in the portrait editor :-/
One thing I'd have to suggest is modifying the colour scheme so that it stands out more from the green grass because at the moment it kind of blends in a bit too much.
I also agree with Bronto about the colour. In a vacuum, the colour is perfect, but it needs more contrast with the map.
Keep it up, I'd buy this in a heartbeat.
I will come back on the textures and see what I can do to improve that.

I'm creating a set for AM but i still don't know many things. if any one can do me a favor to create an item from the first step till the end, a very simple object even a sphere i just need to learn the mechanism.

how to attach the object i created to the real model.
how to control the limits of LoD0 Triangle Limit: 800 and LoD1 Triangle Limit: 500
i don't want to bother any one but i really want to create items for dota 2 cuz i have some great ideas.
