Interesting the demo only used 4.5 gigs of the 8 gigs of vram. The materials on that guy look great, I really just want to see a 360 turn table of a character in their new engine.
Yeah it looks much better in motion, especially with all the cloth physics etc. I'm pretty sure( i hope ) there will be more tech demos after we're done.
Have they offically stated that yet? 3.5 gigs for an OS, recording features, and move stuff sounds a bit extreme, I'd expect 1 gig for all that. Also from what it sounds like, they were planning on having the PS4 having only 4 gigs until right before their announcement. There's no way the PS4's systems should take that much ram.

There's nothing official out there, so I guess we'll see. All that 'share' stuff has got to go somewhere though, and 720p / 1080p video doesn't come cheap. The nextbox certainly has in the region of 3GB reserved for OS stuff.

Doesn't have a choice. The other 3.5GB are reserved for non-games shit.

How would they fit a OS on to that?
