[Mixamo Contest] - Niclol - Adventure Man

Hi guys, kinda new to this website, this is sort of my first post. :P

Contest sounds super fun! Just making this now to get the ball rolling but still working on a backstory for the character. I do have a visual in mind however, just not so good at the story ideas haha, but I'll get there :P

Visually, thinking of a character along the lines of the main dude from Treasure Planet and the main guy from Titan AE. So that kind of disney-ish, stylized look.

Totally pumped for this challenge!

Here's a really quick concept I just made, thought I'd upload something before going to bed. Still pretty rough, but I like the way it's headed.

So I really felt like doing some sculpting today so I made this quick base mesh for the character to get his proportions how I wanted

Little update on the concept, just trying to refine the details of the clothing a bit more.

Blocking out the clothes, still super rough. Annd thinking I'll ditch the goatee from the latest concept.

Ok so haven't had too much time to work on this guy for the past couple days but managed to do a little bit more. Thought I'd refine the face a bit more to get a better feel of the character.

I've been super busy the past week but managed to do a bit more work on him recently so here's a bit of an update. Still quite a bit to do before I finish the high res but will hopefully have that finished by the end of the week. Also, been changing a couple of small things from the concept here and there.

looks great, I hope you can get the facial expression from the concept working in 3D. That cocky smile is realy important for the character in my opinion.

Looking good man. Though imo he look's like an extra in a disney movie.

He is missing any elements that would make him a unique character imo. Try and think about what elements you can give him that will make him more unique and stand out. it's a hard thing to work out how to do but i bet you can do it!
