This is an idea for a robot wearing a teddy bear costume courier. He is inspired by gir and his animations will really sell his dimwittedness.

I'm currently playing around with the colors and the metal texture on the jaw atm. Let me know what you guys think.

Any suggestion on how to do the fur, on teddy bears it fairly short so I'm not really sure how to approach, but not make it look busy.

Any suggestions at all about painting the fur or the direction of the painting would be helpful.

Hm, check out any models that are already in game for reference. Sorry I can't give you more concrete advice but the short fur is always gonna be hard to read in game because of the camera distance combined with the texture compression

There are a few heroes with short fur, such as Brewmaster, that you can use for reference. I would say that less detail is better. The zip and potentially some stitches, plus the fact that it's clearly a teddy bear, should sell that the bear is covered in short fur without you having to define the texture too much!
