ZBrush welding tubes

I've been looking for some tutorials on welding tubes in ZBrush. Is it just a basic mesh joining two pieces, and that basic mesh just gets manipulated like a welding tube?

That's how I would do it. Just import it into Zbrush or Mudbox and sculpt the welds.
