Rigging for weapon in dota2.

So I have been working on thing to put in dota 2. I and new at this, so I have found a few problems. The first is rigging. After I export into Dota 2, my weapon is on the ground. It also seems to be scaled down. I got it with the color and model, but not where I want it. Can I be helped? XDDD Thanks for reading.

Make sure that you freeze transforms (maya)/reset xform (max) before you bind your model to the bone. If the model is not moving at all, make sure the bone it is bound to is named correctly (see requirements page for that). If it's moving but offset, that could be fixed with the freeze transform/reset xform as well.

Also make sure the pivot is set to 0,0,0.
