I made time to finish the body sculpt inspired by
Dave Rapoza's portraits. I also took inspiration from the early Mirage comics and the more recent IDW run. Here are some zbrush renders with only minor photoshop work (I added dust and bounce light.) Im going to make the lowpoly and start baking textures next. Thanks for looking!

Thinking about doing any of his brothers?
this looks ace! looking forward to seeing it textured up and posed!
Love it!
Can't wait to see the low textured.
Might just be me but I would like to see some kind of buckle or ornate disk on his belt. It is weird but his mid section just looks a bit bland at the moment.
hahahaha......Please excuse my really krappy paintover but some rad little something (not like this) could add a whole heap of interest.
I am so keen for more.
I agree about the posture.
Also, you could plant his feet a little more and add more pressure around the soles of his feet - he looks like a heavy dude with a lot of weight to carry.
This came out awesome love the cloth, I agree about the pose/posture try a classic leo pose.
Awesome stuff, I love It.
JohnnyRaptor- I'm looking forward to textures and poses as well!

imyj- YES!
Pavel Petrenko- Thank you sir!
ENODMI- You know what, I feel you. I think you're right and I made some slight changes to help. Buuut, at the same time I'm thinking its more "turtle-like" to have a no neck. I realize the "ninja" part suggests agility, but turtles are anything BUT agile. And honestly thats kinda what makes the character cool to begin with, you'd never think a turtle could be fast or agile enough to be a ninja! The dichotomy makes for a more complex and appealing character.
SA_2- haha totally. He's hangry!
demilich- Thanks!
Cav73- Thanks Cavitt! Hope you're doin well in ATX
afisher- I like your work too! I tried to fix the neck situation. I hope it helped. Thanks for the feedback!
blitz- Thanks man, me either
duncan- A big Texas belt buckle! I love it! Haha, it certainly adds interest. Honestly I'm used to seeing the turtles have some buckle or "L" up front too, but going back to the comics I used for reference, there's nothing there. While I agree with you, I also want to stay authentic.
_DeadPixel_- Feet! You were so right. It crossed my mind when I was sculpting the feet up close, but it wasn't reading at a distance, maybe because the floor is weird in zbrush. Anyways, I tried to exaggerate the sole pads. I hope it helped. Thanks
D4V1DC- Thanks, I cant wait to pose him. Believe me
garriola83- I will! Thanks!
PhoenixWolf- Very kind words! Thanks

Thanks again everyone for the feedback and comments. Here are some closer BPR renders and detail screenshots. I can post more angles of the neck too if anyone's interested.
