Portfolio Crit

Hey PC its been a long semester but I've finished my third and final year of Game Development at Durham College in Ontario. I would really appreciate it if the community could give me some comments and crits so it can be industry ready. Thanks for your time guys!

That station is incredible, love all the detail. The site itself is nice and simple, but you may want to change the "About" page to just "Resume" as it would make it easier to find.

In the Abandoned Waystation, the clouds look unrealistic, especially those behind the station in the first image. Given the intensity of the sunlight in the scene, I'd expect them to be much lighter, either white & fluffy or thin & whispy, With the strong wind, you should consider animating the clouds. A dust cloud or even a dust devil would also be appropriate for the environment. The tumbleweed looks very artificial; watching the video at full speed it looked like a wire box bouncing along. On a minor note, you're about 19 years too early for a USA Today newspaper; you also need to be careful when using a trademark.

In Gun Ports, the ropes look very flat; the dark areas are much too wide, and should probably be removed from the diffuse, allowing the normal map to dictate the shading. Candles were extremely rare aboard ships, and would NEVER be on the gun deck, especially when there is gun powder present. In your animation, remember that the light sources (the lamps) will move as the ship rolls.

Your About page is a bit barren.

You should add your contact information to the main banner, especially if you are looking for work. I'd also expand the font size for your name and title on the banner, and move the links blow the title.

@ VESIUS Thanks a lot for the kind words! I'm still learning carbon made and I'm trying to get rid of that ugly url code.

@DWalker Thanks for taking the time. A lot to consider and I'll get on tweaking some of those suggestions. As for the USA today hah I feel stupid:P

    Thanks again
