Ok so for reference I was previously using 3D Coat for doing my re-topology since it also Lays out new UV's so there no need to manually unwrap after retopo. Maya 2014 and its new "Quad Draw" feature however I found it doesn't layout UV's like 3D Coat does so my question is...
Is it possible to have it layout UV's?
my initial answer was no but I just want to be sure before I decide on either Maya 2014 or 3D Coat for Character Retopo.
Thankyou!

there is no way to smooth the mesh during retopo in maya...
so quad draw is useless for me...
For UVs in Maya you have to use the default tools made for that.
What do you mean?
you need a plugin for... diamant tools or retopoG is able to do that..
without that feature its no fun to do retopo work in maya...
