Hand painted attempt - Sword model

hey all,

Just wanted to post a WIP of a sword that I totally just winged in 3ds Max... I spend a bit of time trying to keep the silhouette clean and readable, and learned a few more things while doing so.

This is supposed to be similar in style to some of the hand painted weapons in 3d Motives' tutorials, where there is wood mixed with blue steel and metal. The hilt is going to be made of tusks at the end, with a wooden piece in the center holding the blade and handle together. There will be a vertical ornate band that will be separating the wood from the tusk-hilt and gold will be the "spikey" part moving up about halfway to the blade from the hilt. More pics to come.

One thing I can't seem to remember is how to "round" off an end...

I think this should suffice, but I still feel that it could be better before I start to unwrap it.

Anyway, some advice would be greatly appreciated in all aspects! Thanks!
