Play-test my T-Rex!

beautyrendercopy.jpg

Hey peeps,

So I think I'm almost done with this model... I still have other stuff I need to finish and, while I'll like to keep adding to this project, I do need to stop at some point.

Below is a link to my simple game with the T-Rex pawn set up and moving around in the engine (Feb 2013 Version). He doesn't attack you, but he'll chase you around blending between his idle and walk cycle animations.

If you want to kill him, aim for the collision between his feet.

I'd like people to play around with him as I'm looking for critique on a couple of things;

1. Material/Shader effects
2. Animation/Animation blending
3. PhysActor/Death Physics

Anything else you want to crit, then go right ahead.

Installation instructions are found in the 'readme' document within the folder, any problems (and opinions), voice them through here.

Thank you in advance to whoever tests him out, and crit you give will help better me and will be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

    Was a hassle to download lol.. but ok lets get down to buisness lol, the animation itself was very stiff tail no movement arms no movement and slight movement with the mouth, as for how the model looked in the engine It kinda looked like it was made out of rubber :O or plastic and the death hmm... not really digging the whole ragdoll effect but all and all it's good :)

    By hassle do you mean the download size? Sorry about that.

    The tail... I do agree. Does need some more movement. As with the arms well, I just assumed the arms of a T-Rex wouldn't move much seeing as they were pretty useless appendages :P But yeah, maybe some more arm movement too, could you elaborate?

    And you'd say the skin was to shiny/reflective too? I should be able to easily fix that. Thanks for your feedback! :)

    you can reference jurassic park if you want a good T-Rex animation! :P
    tail to me i think needs to whip around while the arms go up and down slightly, yea the skin looked almost like a rubber but no worries you'll get that down in no time :P
