That being said, Sketchup is often easier to use for that particular workflow; at least for non-organic modeling. Ctrl+Paint has video tutorials on using Sketchup for that type of workflow. (they're listed under 17) 3D Software)
what you want is NPR(Non Photo Real) rendering. you can do that in many software. in maya you can render NPR with the maya vector renderer or use the mental ray contour shaders.
thanks but what i looking for is to make details on the surface i know how to render the outline but details like paneling or bolts stuff like that, is it possible to do
You have a few different options. In all cases you'll need to UV unwrap your model. One of the simpler ways of painting details on the model is to export your UV layout to photoshop, and use the layout as a guide to painting in photoshop.
You can also paint details directly on to the model by using 'Texure Paint Mode' in Blender (I don't know the name of Maya's equivalent), which allows you to paint directly on to the model. Blender will take what you paint and apply it to the cooresponding areas of your texture. Note that you'll have much more tools and control in photoshop as opposed to Blender.
