When you enable matinee editing mode it should automatically switch on a film gate on one of the viewports.

but can you controle it ? because it seem like my film gate is set with a 3:4 ratio...

If you select your camera and bring up the properties (F4) you'll see the Aspect Ratio settings in the "CameraActor" tab. You can also uncheck "bConstrainAspectRatio" to remove the black borders you're currently seeing.
