I was wondering if this is possible? I believe there was a plugin for changing Max to use the Maya navigation setup but what about Modo? I haven't tried Max2014 yet,but maybe there's a native way to change this sort of thing in there by now?
I don't know which version of Max you are using, or what Modo navigation entails. If you are using Max 2013 you may be able to use the Customize User Interface > Mouse options to adapt the navigation.
Hi PolyHerts,
did this work for you, the modo navigation in Max?
It works for me in 3dsMax2014
alt+lmb (rotate)
alt+shift+lbm (pan)
alt+ctrl+lbm (zoom)
...but...
...if I set this, then I have problems with the Rectangular Selection Method. To deselect polys I have to use the alt+lbm (default 3dsmax), which I just mapped to rotate. :poly117:
Anyway to come around this? I use wacom and I love that navigation where the pen is always on the wacom surface. I could exchange lmb to mmb instead, but it's just not that cool.

Rotate = atl+lmb
Zoom = alt+ctrl+lmb
Pan = alt+shift+lmb
I have Max 2012, but good to know the option is available in newer versions at least.
