Thanks, man. It's good to hear that I might be on the right track.
Now that I look at It, it seems like it could use some of the blue illumination on the bottom of the handle to tie it together. I guess some weathering might help too.
What Jalcober said, all the shapes and the model itself is really well done, it's just the texture that needs some polish. I'd say try and added a bit of subtle weathering, maybe try and make the edges of the hammer end stand out a bit more. Also see if you can get some sort of gradient on the hammer to draw eyes towards the top of the hammer.
I made quite a few changes to the textures, but they don't show up as strongly in the renders as they do in the 3d viewport. ( I'm still very much a noob at rendering... or 3d modelling for that matter)
I think I'm going to end up doing a lot of tweaks to it once I get it into the game's testing mode and see what it looks like there.
