Hey Polycount folks,
We just released
http://sketchfab.me, a service to create your pro 3D portfolio website, powered by Sketchfab. It offers a slick and responsive interface to showcase your models, with easy setup from your Sketchfab dashboard. It also comes with a new addition: an image-based fallback which automatically generates a 360° view of your models when WebGL isnt available. Here is a video demo:

The service is
free for students, and we have a limited special offer for the 100 first subscriptions: get 2 years for the price of 1.
If you are a 3D student or 3D teacher, feel free to reach out to
support@sketchfab.com so we can add your school to our list of partners.
Cheers,
The Sketchfab team

Also, is it possible to import looping animations? Say you import an animation that loops and you can rotate that in 360 degrees while it loops through the animation? That would be amazing.
Anyway, looks really cool.

1) Requires plug-ins, which this didn't seem to do.
2) Slow loading, this went pretty fast.
2) Lack of view configuration such as
- Background color, white backgrounds tend to cause "snow blindness" black backgrounds tend to rob the silhouette, a nice mid-tone grey is normally a good balance. Letting the user pick the background color or even specify an image, even better.
- Wireframe overlay (which could be handled with a material change?)
- Shader support? Spec, gloss and normal maps are pretty standard.
- Custom lighting? Even a few presets like night, sunset, high noon mid morning, would help people show off their models in the best way possible for that model.
@Mark Dygert: thanks for the feedback! Actually we are releasing new backgrounds and custom backgrounds this week. The viewer already offers a wireframe overlay option on Sketchfab. We support a variety of shaders, and multiple materials, and are working on custom lightings. This week's release will also bring HDR environment reflection.
@CrazyMatt: awesome model, we'll staff pick that!
