Skyrim and Immersion

Hey guys, long time lurker. First time poster :poly121:

I'm finally nearing the end of my final year at university where i am studying BA Games Art. I'm currently doing my dissertation and need a very quick questionnaire answering. I'm looking at how weather can improve immersion in games and i'm using Skyrim as a base for this topic.

The questionnaire has links to unlisted youtube videos which compare two version. One with the original settings and another that is modified.

You don't need to have played Skyrim to answer this questionnaire. So anyone is welcome to help me out!

The questionnaire really needs a "neutral" option. There were many times when I thought neither one was more or less immersive.

Thanks for the feedback. I've updated the questionnaire with a neutral option.

I just want to thank the people who have so far filled in the questionnaire. I also want to thank the guy who thought "Satans Penis" was a game where weather wasn't immersive enough. Thanks to you! :shifty:

Done. Although I couldn't think of a game where the weather could have been improved on offhand, surely every game could do with some improvement. I don't know that I've ever seen perfect weather.

I actually made my university dissertation on Immersion in FPS-games. It was called
"Engagement in digital games: a study of immersion in first-person shooters". This was a couple of years back though ^^

It's in Swedish though and never got translated, it has an abstract that is in English though so you can read what the paper is about at least.

ZASkaggs: Thanks, that's the point. I was interested to see if people actually agreed on weather needing to be improved up on.
