Hi and nice to meet you all!
I'm a first time poster and I thought I'd start by posting something I'm currently working on.
A little background on the piece: Since I play League of Legends from time to time and one of my favourite characters is Irelia, I thought I'd try and model/sculpt my own interpretation of her. I really like the Frostblade Irelia skin, but I wanted to try and recreate the skin and give it my own look.
My other aim is to improve my knowledge of the female anatomy by being able to sculpt it, but also being able to morph it and give it a nice style!
Here's a reference board I through together:
After that I went straight into ZBrush and created a base mesh, which I then used to quickly paint over my ideas in Photoshop - this helped me to get a better idea for what I wanted to create:
Since then I've done a few things:
- Extracted pieces from the base mesh and made them into placeholder armour using a combination of 3D coat and 3dsmax, mainly to get an overall idea for the composition
- Added some (badly sculpted :shifty:) place-holder hair which I will soon sculpt and change before modelling the real hair.
- Played around with the colours until it looks like they fit and go well together, which are for now, still placeholder and kinda messy-looking
- Made a few changes to the base mesh and pushing it into the direction that I want
Anyway, here's what I have up to now:
From here I want to keep playing around with the armour and colours until I find something that I like, and then sculpt the hair around it.
Crits, comments and suggestions are really welcome and will be appreciated, hoping everything comes together and I'll post updates as things progress. Thanks for viewing!
