WIP Dota 2 April Comp. Entry - Forest Ogre

Soo, first off hi all because this is my very first post on polycount. I decided to compete this month with an ogre magi set. I already sketched out the broad concept: a forest scavanger with items that a life long 12 foot forest hermit would wear. Sketch is coming soon.

Well I m done sketching the body, I think it shows quite good what im going for. I'll split the cape into the pighead and the actual cape, so I can keep the polygon count, and get some more detail on the textures. Im pretty pleased with the dumb expression on the pigs face, hope i manage to transfer it to 3d. I might drop the possum tho, if i run into polygon problems on the belt. Im not quite sure about the colors, but until I see the objects in the game engine I cant pic a final one anyway...

For the weapon i combined the deadly force of fire and a hedgehog. Ill start blocking out this weekend.

Ill also totally redesign the runes, Im not really pleased with the way they look now.

Im done with the low poly models. I was a bit worried if I had too much detail on the head and belt to work, but in the end it worked out well. Time to get into sculpting!

Made some sculpts yesterday, the head and the cape. I decided not to cover the whole thing in fur to accentuate the spine line of the pig and the edges. If it looks dull after the texturing i might sculpt the rest, but for now they just fine.

The high poly models for the arms. The engraving on the tusk says Booyah biatch in futhark runes .
