I wasn't sure if I'd have enough resolution for the double hoodie idea, so I did a quick low poly bake just to see if I could pull off what I had in mind. Guess it's working out well enough!
I really like the idea of a found object approach eluded to in your concept with the sack and buckler. A grubby old troll with a tribal twist kind of feel could work nicely for this guy. The shoulder teeth fit nicely with this as well imo.
Thanks for the comments Unfortunately I did a lot of re-designing and scrapping of different pieces because I didn't feel like the set was working together very well. Eventually I just threw it all out and am settling on a single item for Ogre Magi, the Lucky Double Hoodie:
Will probably publish it in a few days after I leave it for alone for a few nights so I can look at it with fresh eyes.
Haha well maybe I need to talk to Valve then just kidding..
The hood looks great btw, only would love to see some animations, does everything go well when animated?

Started work on Ogre Magi for the April Challenge. Should be fun!
I'd also like to squeeze in a PA set this month, but we'll see.

After some very minor texture tweaks that I'm sure no one will ever notice, but Ogre Magi's Lucky Double Hoodie has been submitted!
