Hey everybody it's me again and i'm about to start up on a new project and wanted to share my work in progress with everyone. My last thread I got a lot of good feed back that helped pushed my project to the next level and want the same results for this one. I wanted to start a sci-fi scene, since i don't have one on my portfolio site yet. The one that picked and loved was the Halo 4 concept by John Wallin Liberto. You can check out his portfolio site at http://www.johnliberto.com/. I know this one is going to be really challenging for me since I will be modeling all in Maya 2013 instead of my normal modeling program 3D Studio Max 2013 and will be placed in UDK. the image below is the concept and break down image.

I'm going to be basing my dimensions off of Master Chief's scale, which I think its 112 units tall since he is seven feet tall from the information I can gather. I'm still flushing out the assets units scale, but I know the modular floor/walls will be 256x128x32 and the capsules 128x64x64. I know this is really early, but if anyone has any input please don't hesitate to share.

Sorry for a late update just been a little busy! Here are a couple WIP of cortana's little station. I know I should have started on the floor and walls before starting with this, but since I am working with a new modeling program I wanted to try something complex. This process is taking longer than usual, but i just need to keep messing around with maya.

I'm pretty close to finishing the high poly. Just need to add missing parts, control edges and detail pass.

Good luck sir. This is going to be extremely challenging. Best Advice I can offer at this point is to not dive into the high poly stuff just yet. Block out low-medium poly meshes into the scene and get the proportions all good. This way too you can see how many meshes you have to work with as well. Then go and do up the assets like crizzle!

looking forward to what you come up with!
