Hi everyone,

I have a little problem. I project correctly my High poly on my lowpoly model with my UV.

And when I generate the normal map in Zbrush, I have bad issue with seams.
I don't know why. :(

Someone can take a look on my joined jpg file ?

please :)

I do not know how zbrush bakes stuff, but does your low poly have hard edges/multiple smoothing groups?

If so there could be a chance that there are gaps in the projection cage.

Have you set up a proper projection cage?

Check these out and read em.

Zbrush doesn't use smoothing groups or cages. Personally I recommend baking in a program like xnormal instead.

Also if that's Marmoset, you'd be better off importing an FBX into it rather than an obj that zbrush spits out.

To boox : I have juste 1 smoothing groups by object/tool. And I think Z brush dont use cage to interpret the subdivision level details. thanks for the links.

To Cryrid : Yes it's marmoset, and it's an FBX file. I already use xnormal for props but for character I Want to keep the hand of future modifications, if needed, and use xnormal -> expose the tool at level 1 and at the highest level and bake all... that's a solution but If there is another solution more straight I want to take it ! :)

Unsure if it's a fix/cure. I created a low poly version of my sculpt in 3DCoat and unwrapped it, I then used Textools on 3DS Max to separate the UV islands and apply different smoothing groups to them. I then projected the detail from the sculpt onto the new retopo'd model and baked the normal without issue.

Also on one model in the past I inverted the Y channel in the Normals and it worked great, but I'm not sure if I messed up somewhere.
