hey everybody! new character project on the go here.
my concept is going to be more of a sophisticated sci fi character as compared to my last one. its going to be more of an exploring female character so she wont need to much ''heavy'' armor. the main inspiration came from the suits in prometheus as well as Kerrigan from Starcraft(among other great female concepts.)
just trying to get a good silhouette with some nice flowing lines
still not happy with the upper back piece might take the whole thing off and try again, though i do like the sillouette it makes.
i havent really worked on the face yet, i did everything else to the point where i was happy with it, then extracted pieces from that so they stay nice and snug against her body.
im debating either trying out fibers for the hair, or just go with the good ol' geometry and alpha planes.
thanks for checking it out:)
comments and critique are great

i redid the whole back piece, im liking it way better now as she can actually move her arms back.
i started adding some smaller details to the suit, still have to do some refining on the edges a bit though where the metal edges look a little sloppy.
the areas with the round bumps will eventually be more of a leather type material just for a nice little accent colour to the suit.
still havent done anything to the face yet except for adjusting the angle shes looking at and small scaling of it to help the proportions out (hopefully it doesnt look out of place now.)
next things to do are:
-finnish the plating details and better edge lines
-sculpt details on body( head, hands, back, belly/chest)
-create material folds on suit( they'll be subtle, as well as nice raised edges to help sell that the plating is attatched to the suit)
- create seams/ edging on the suit with some nice lines.
- finnish the boots. the foot part of the boot is still just a zsphere retopo of foot so proportions are way off.
Good luck with everything!
redid the back piece again, now that i know a littl more about zbrush i feel like im way happier with this one.
the chrome piece in the middle will eventually be a glowing light, the chrome material is just there to show that itll be glass in the end.
still working on the form/structure of the pack, as everything is still roughed in.
also quickly filled in the belly region and will eventually make it seem more like one piece suit instead of just and inlayed chunk of material.
i also got rid of the shoulder pieces, might remake a pair of them or might try the oposite and go for a upper arm band kinda thing, just something to brake up the big void on her arms.
heres some pics
blocked in the helmet design and adjusted the suit so its more of a space suit thing for if shes on a world without breathable air.
im debating on getting rid of the lower tubing, right now they seem to have no function at all, i might make where the tubing starts on the upper piece some sort of exhaust to rid the suit of carbon monoxide, while the bigger fans bring in air and filter it into breathable oxygen.
also separated the legs a bit so its easier to work on her suit(and so dynamesh doesnt attatch the legs to themselves.)
still kind of trying to work out a colour scheme for her, i want to make it nice and bold so she stands out, which ever main colour i choose to go with, ill end up doing a complimentry secondary colour for the smaller designs, like the lines on her suit, etc
almost happy with the colour scheme ive got going on. still have to add a lot of base colours to some of my hard surface pieces expessally the back piece.
going to sculpt the face soon and get the hands at a decent state to create gloves from.
also have to get to doing the boots, right now they are to small around the foot area.
looking at it now i just noticed that theres not really any deffinition for the elbow so im going to visit that as well.
what are your guys thoughts so far on it? would really love some feedback on it as this is going to be a portfolio piece.
