This is my first ever 3D humanoid.
It's going to be a cartoon-ish girl.

I think you could definitely refine her a lot further; you can probably move those legs in closer, and give her less of a gap in between the legs. Add some more curves to the legs, also; this model sheet and this one too are some useful references. You can slim up the neck and upper part of the torso (and play around with making the neck a weeee bit longer *makes smale increment with thumb and forefinger). Also, play around with making the legs longer (may or may not help).
Also, I think you should check out Duncan Fraser's thread here; it was an awesome model, you could learn some stuff digging through the thread. Good luck!
I've tried to do what you said. I made her curves a bit more female-ish and pushed the legs a bit together. I gave more shape to the arms. I increased the arms and the legs length. I increased hand size, and reduced the heads size, and changes the shape a bit.
