I don't think this would count as a technical question lol
Im trying to think of something and I need some advice from way better artists
The problem is here:
What kind of shape or shapes can you put in
one of those circles to make them both
appear vertically even.
They are the same size, but one is lower than the other.
Nothing overly complex, is it possible to make one side seem "heavier" to weigh it down? Or lighter, whichever.
Here was my shitty attempt, where at first glance they appear to be even. I understand they never will be but can anyone do any better than this? Im not sure if its the added contrast making it appear heavier or if its the direction the shape is pointing

Should be self explanatory..
I played a bit in photoshop and I came to this:
Not sure if this is working :poly122:
@ Kurt Russell Fan Club: That works a bit, but again I can't tell if its just the added complexity or if its the placement of specific shapes doing it. Either way im trying to have all the lines be the same width
@ Ninjas That works really well but I need the shape to be inside the circle :P, preferable no outside influences
@ Ex-Ray Thats an interesting shape but I dont think its working.. hmm
@ AtticusMars I think that works somewhat, what is the logic behind it? Unless you're trolling lol
@ MiAlx Hey thats pretty good, do you think you could somehow do it in one circle?
Coughed my bloody coffee up.
Imagine taking two balls and putting them side by side on the desk, taking a photo, then rotating it. Would you assume the balls were uneven or if the picture was at an angle? It works a lot better with more objects to relate to.
Some context to the question would probably be helpful.. I took it as a compositional question
You know, this can only be evened out if you bold the other circle in the opposite direction that would be vertically even. You were half right.
So with that in mind here is my attempt:
right right one circle. x.x
The straight line only makes the problem worse; it highlights their unevenness. Or were you joking?
What is the problem you are trying to fix for Frell? If you give context it might help.
Problem is, I know they're uneven so it's really hard to unsee it, as with most illusions, once you see how it works the effect will stop working as well.
