OK everyone. Gonna keep this one simple and fast.

I just found that site. It basically says that it can show our models in 3D without all of our turntable and rendering efforts in a safe way. And it is free ?

I have never seen that in any portfolio here on polycount so I got a little... suspicious you know. So anyone using/having information-experience on this kind of thing ???

I've seen several people use it. I believe there was a thread about this some time ago. It's pretty awesome, though I'm not sure how much it can handle as far as complexity of models.

Its a cool thing to use, I found out about it because I use BlendSwap and they recommend it on there as well, its kinda like this site https://sketchfab.com/ on the whole its not that bad of a thing to use, it seems however sketchfab and handle much more complex models judging by whats on their site however I could be wrong

It's pretty trivial to rip models/textures from it - textures were actually named in plaintext in the page last time I looked, and if it's going through JS/WebGL, it's already game over for your model.

It is, however, good for previewing or demonstrating stuff, I'd just be very wary of your models being lifted.

Getting the model data is more difficult, but still not very.

Please note I'm not advocating this, I'm just pointing out, it's not a secure way of demonstrating your models.

I found it generally useful for Character Artists. As a hard surface modeler, though, I get shadow artifacts on my guns because of the way the Normal map and the geometry's smoothing groups fight each other. I can't get my ninja normal map+smoothing groups combo moves translate well on p3d lol. But among other free online real-time preview sites p3d is getting it. Its so simple, streamlined, and fast. I hope this kind of websites will be improved in the future.
