yeah my second monitor has died and need that script to get my layer menu back in 3dsmax, which have disappeard in to the imgainary missing monitor. link anyone?
There might be one... but I had the same issue in Maya and my teacher showed me the single file you have to delete to fix it. He is an avid 3DS Max user and said that in 3DS Max you have to reset all the settings to default to fix that problem.
doesn't work on max 2012 joeriv, when you press alt spacebar, 'move' is just greyed out
BARDLER there is actually a script to do this just looking for the link
It's not a one shot fix since you'll have to do it for each "lost" menu, but you can get it back onto the main screen by pressing the windows key and the left or right arrow while the layer menu is selected. That should pop it to the left or right edge of your main monitor. Then you can move it to wherever suits you.
Weird... works for me in most apps in Win 7. Thought it was normal behavior. I might not have been clear above that I was holding down the windows key and then pressing the left or right arrow. Script sounds like it should work in any case, though.
