Hey everyone!
I'm not sure if a Minecraft texture pack really counts as a serious post for Pimping and Previews. However, since this is the main thing I've been working on in my free time for the past two years, I felt I wanted to share.
So far, I have replaced all of the environment textures, all of the GUI except for the main logo and startup screen, and the better part of the characters. I still have 3 characters left to do, as well as the painting deco set and a few random textures.
Overall, this has taken me a lot longer than I expected. As it turns out, redoing all the art in a game is a lot of work, even if it's something as simple as Minecraft! :poly136:
Anyways, enough blabber. On to the art! :poly142:

(Also guilty of not having played Minecraft)
Stay tuned for last couple of characters and the paintings!
Awesome work!

I saved out some flat textures. I blew them up to 300% for viewing purposes, but the actual size is 16x16 pixels for a tile.
As for giant structures, I haven't really done those. I spend more time texturing than playing, haha. :poly136: You may be able to find some if you search for "Wayukian" on Youtube, though.
Well worth the time spent, congrats!
So far I've done the basic horse. There's lots to be done still: 7 horse colors in total, 4 pattern types, a donkey version, a mule version, a skeleton horse, an undead horse, three horse armor sets and a horse GUI. I guess I will be plugging away at this all summer. :polytwitch:
Anyway, it is! Tastes just like raisins! :poly128:

Also, have some donkeys!

This is like, exactly the sort of textures I was looking for a one-two years ago when I wanted to freshen up my Minecraft experience haha. Totally in love with the colors for everything. The monsters look so rad~
@Zdybal: My texture pack was actually already out 2 years ago (on the Minecraft forum), although I had only finished the terrain and item sprites at that point. The mobs are proving to be a huge task! Ofcourse, they also keep adding new content, making it harder to catch up. :poly105:
only concern is that some of the materials are a touch confusing, i found the stone type materials quite hard to distinguish when not in bright light... could just take getting used to though
It does take a little while to get used to a different texture pack. You get so used to what game elements look like and then a new pack will throw that off completely.
Anyway, I've been plugging away at more monsters.
Here's the Wither boss:
And the Wither skeleton:
And also the Ghast:
My aim is to get all remaining mob textures done for the 1.7 update of Minecraft. There are three left at this point, all of them Nether mobs. Should be doable!
