Hi! I'm trying to make a make a point light to illuminate as flame of a torch in Maya. I've tried to load a noise map into the intensity attribute, but it didn't look quite nice. I'm only interested in the ligh behavior that a torch would have.
Any suggestions?

rather than using a light for the glow create some simple geo to fake it
if you create a material and crank up the incandescence and glow you can get it to look pretty light like, or you could get fancy and use the light surface shader in mental ray
