This the last real time model I've been working on for a workshop I'll be teaching.

excellent work on the modeling and sculpting!

the texture feels a bit weak though. either push the dirt/grime and realistic details more or go with a cleaner/vibrant texture.

I always enjoy seeing another artist work in softimage. I really love the character, has a lot of detail and personality.

hard to crit but if I had to I would say the most potential lies in better defining the materials. even or especial bc it's a cartoon style. Cloth is cloth but the metal / plastic stuff could read clearer!

I'd probably add some patches to add some color & variety to the space suit. They'll also give you an opportunity to add your own humorous touch.


I'd also add headphones to his inner helmet, largely copying a Soviet WWII flight helmet (which was a copy of a German design; the Russians did a lot of that :P)

MM: I understand. Sometimes while I was working on the model I thought about it, but then I realize that I wanted to make the model like the concept and with surface details/texture.

DWalker: That are some great ideas but since I did this model for a workshop I want to teach how to respect the original concept. Thanks for the tip
