Hey guys, I would like to show you an iPad app we're working on called GamePress.
You can see a video of it in action below:

GamePress is an app that allows anyone to easily make games and share them with friends and family with no programming abilities.
With our robust behaviour system you can create a wide range of genres, so theres really no limit to your imagination.
Some features include:
- Easy to use level editor so you can easily build your worlds and place objects
- Behaviour editor which replaces programming. Works like a flowchart of actions and events
- Complete physics engine (powered by Box2D)
- Particle Editor so you can quickly whip up some awesome particles
- Sound Effects creator so you can make some custom sound effects
- Thousands of included art assets to get you started on making your games
- Ability to import your own graphics, music, or sound effects
- Special effects like shaders, and tweening.
Our plan is to launch late April 2013.
We would love to hear your thoughts, feedback or suggestions.

Cool!
We had a previous video for an older version of the app which showed the behaviour system a bit more. But during any putches and presentations we were always told that it looks ltoo hard. So we simplified this one with the included joystick behaviour to show you can make games very quickly and easily.
The behaviour system does provide a lot of functionality and comparable to systems like GameSalad or construct2 from scirra.
Any tips on what to include in a demo video so it feels lessnlike a level editor and more like a complete game creation platform.. While still being under the 2min mark.
Thanks
Edit:
Here is our old video from a previous beta ( we removed the tile engine since then). It shows making angry birds, and a bit more ofthe behaviour system..

If you had some sort of demo showing off the potential beyond just a sidescroller i think that would help sell how flexible the system is. Maybe some sort of flying or physics game (if thats possible)
edit: just saw the angry birds video. I think if you took that idea and went a bit further and showed an original concept using the built in tools then it would come across less like an app to just re-create games
We're definitely planning on making some more videos showing unique games. The feedback and comments we receive on these will really help since we're only a team of 3 its hard finding time to make and edit videos while still working on the app.
Our next video, I am planning on showing four 20 second clips of me making 4 different games (racing and a space shooter are 2 I know I want to make), then show playing all 4 at the end. This time less play time for each, then it will go into a grid of 4 videos playing simultaneously.
Do you think this will be good for a demo/promotional video?
also might be a good idea to show custom content if that's supported
Even though that might come across as more advanced, just knowing you can bring in your own tiles would open up the visual style of each game
We're currently in the process of redoing the behaviours screen to make it faster, easier, and overall nicer.
Isaiah, definitely a difficult niche to full. Make it too easy and it won't be powerful enough. Too powerful means too hard. Then it comes down to if we make it powerful, do people actually want it? probably not as they are using other tools on the desktop.
We have decided to stay in the middle, hopefully it pays off. Plus we plan to update the app shortly after launch with some cool community features that will make sharing your game super easy and even more fun.
We have a new video. Hopefully this one is better
