Body sculpting feedback needed!

Hey guys, I'm working on my first body model and I've started sculpting. Been looking at figure and Andrew Loomis drawings to find tips and ways to get body proportions right and all other bits too.

I got up to this point and now really need some good feedback from all of you! Therefore, give me all you've got, I want to improve and learn, so criticism, tips, advises etc. Will be appreciated!

Thank you!

Come on guys..! I really need some feedback.. :/

You first human sculpt ever? Wow impressive!

Im not a character artist at all, so dont expect any super anatomy crits from me, but there are plenty of thoose people around here, just you wait.
The only real crit that i see, quite obvious is the face. Im not sure but i think it lacks some definition and dosnt really resemble the face from the character you are going for.
It looks kinda "basemesh'y" wich is a good thing if you where going for that. With the right topology there you can get almost anykind of character with this mesh.

I say good job, but work moore on the face :D good luck!

Yes sir! It is my very first sculpt indeed.
I've been having some issues with the face :/ At first the eyes were too small and the gap between them was too little. So i tried scaling them a little to maintain 1 eye gap between the eyes. Apparently that's how your face is designed.

Thanks for your feedback mate! I'll try to make the face look more like the guy from the reference!

this is looking good :) urm level of body fat? to be considered? major different between your sillohette and the references just seem to be that he has much more body fat, it would bump up the level of realism to have a bit of fat on his back and such, filling out the form differences? maybe?

Great start! The thing that jumped out at me the most was definitely the hand anatomy. They don't have the form you need to make a good hand. Currently, they sort of line up all along a plane. The thumb should be pulled further away from the palm, much further, the base of the thumb should be much thicker as well.

Check that out, that structure has much more depth to it.

You are really on the right track and this looks awesome for your first ever jump into it, so keep up the great work! Just make sure you develop the base anatomy shapes on the lower subdivision levels before getting into stuff like knuckles, or calf muscle cuts and small details and such. Lay the foundation, then move from there!

Luulin: Yes, body fat is considerate and I actually went in and added some of it already. Thought you were right. It would make the sculpt more realistic and would look more like the guy from the reference image.!
The reason I approached it this way, was to get the muscle flow right first and then add the fat on top of it.

Safemilk(Daniel): Thanks for the anatomy image and your feedback! I will try to make the hands a bit more relaxed, similar to what you have shown.
Personally from all the time I've spent on this sculpt. I find that the hands and feet are the hardest to do.. Its just so much little detail there..

I've also been working on the face and hips, as one of my lecturers pointed out that its a bit off. Therefore, here is where the sculpt currently stands!
