So this is the concept for my entry, a futuristic bar. This will serve as my main kind of guide line for how it should look although the design for individual props might be subjects to change.
Thx, yeah that's the final draft, some pieces of it might be changed slightly, naturally some things might look better in a concept than in a full 3D environment and also some parts might be hard to get looking good while also maintaining a good modular workflow.
So have to balance that out, but I'll stick as close to this as possible as long as it makes somewhat sense.
Hopefully I can execute on this, not that experienced with putting together bigger scenes and working with CryEngine. I see it as a learning experience and I'm gonna give it my best shot. Cheers dude!
Instantly reminded me of the bar from Mass Effect 1 or 2 on the Citadel where Shepard dances. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out, best of luck dude.
@Safemilk, Cheers man, gonna try my best not to disappoint .
So I've been blocking out the majority of the environment, trying to get the balance/feel right. The textures are only temporary as of now, just applied something quickly to get a better sense of what can be done/get the feel right, still got some more blocking out to do before moving on to the next step.
Thx for the comments, pointers and solid feedback from you guys/gals is always appreciated.
small update: Changed the design on the wall pieces a bit, the earlier once was a bit too "seperated", so they felt a little bit off and not really coinciding with my initial vision for this. Also fiddling around with ceiling design and trims.
Slight improvement, worked on the bar a bit. Haven't had a whole lot of time to work on this lately and at this rate I deffo won't make the deadline but I will continue to work on this, maybe I'll at least have something that looks a little bit better.
It looks a lot like Mass Effect, but also reminds me of Flashback. There was a level which featured glowing scenes like this one. I like where this is going.
