ESCAPE - Dungeon Run - The Miner's Guild

Maybe I've played too much DnD, but my idea is to have a comical miner running away from a dragon after he attempted to slay it with his pickaxe. It might just be me, but I've always wondered about the would-be heroes that tried to take on big monsters.

I'm currently working on a blockout and paint-over and should have it up later today.

I'm starting this thread solo, but if it intrigues anyone to join PM me.

Just refining my concept sketch a bit right now.

I'd love to get some feedback on it, see what people think of the character and layout.

Very comical I can tell you that. I love the fact that the miner has the bucket on his head.

I am not very sure how to explain this, but I feel that the scene would look better from a different perspective. Maybe with the miner running towards the camera with a frightened expression, while the dragon spews fire behind him. Not sure if you can imagine it, but that is how I would go.

I agree with NobleWulf. Your concept and idea is pure gold (Haha see what I did there...mine, miner, gold). So i think your perspective could work but there is a perspective that is even more powerful. A ground level shot showing the miner running at you with the dragon behind him. It would intesify the presence of the dragon showing more danger cause it would look larger. And having the miner run at you, will allow you to get a clear facial expression that you could use for a more powerful comical theme. Meh just a thought. Either way I cannot wait to see more :)
