Which problems did you have with the Riki set? I had a few myself, especially with the tail.
I absolutely love that Weaver set, so glad it's in the game.
Mmm...well, I think everything kinda went wrong with Riki for me. I struggled trying to get something to work with his design, to be honest, but as far as the technical problems go, it was mostly with his shaders. It wasn't until I had basically finished Weaver that the shader system started to click for me, and it turns out I actually authored Riki's textures completely wrong :P
Glad you liked Weaver He was pretty fun to work on, and I'd like to do more stuff for the non-humanoid heroes soon too.
Grats on your Riki getting in! It's the coolest Riki set on the Workshop, in my opinion.
Your Weaver set is one of my favorites in the game, it's awesome! =]
Spectre design is looking great so far, it seems a very difficult character to do.
Bronto: Thanks I'm going to make a weapon, but I haven't settled on a design for it yet. It was starting to slow me down, so I went ahead and proceeded with the outfit first.
I teamed up with my brother, haikai, on this Drow Ranger set:
Andyk125 - Aside from some sloppy texturing, there's a distort effect around Spectre's hands, in addition to the particles, that make it really hard to get a clear shot of the weapon.
Hahah Neogaf xD Unfortunately there was a tourney match going on as I posted it or something so it got drowned out mostly, but I hope it still helped xD
Really well done Spectre, and you got "so much more views than usual" because its so freaking awesome
You also was mentioned here with very positive feedback, that should cheer you up

Looking forward to your next set!
Ooh, wow, thanks for that link Konras! Seeing my work in a Youtube video like that really made my day!
Thanks Hunter!
Someone contacted me about Spectre's items, and even though I know there are de-compiled SMDs out there, I couldn't quite figure out how to setup those Source scripts that I may or may not have downloaded :P I ended up eyeballing everything and luckily got things right fairly quickly.
I did notice something a little funny when I was working on Spectre...maybe it was my imagination but it seemed like her original weapon was placed in such a way that she wasn't even holding it? I went against that with mine though and basically placed it in her hand and skinned it to bone Ring0_0:
Hopefully that's of some use to anyone else working on Spectre!
I'm really not sure what my next set will be...for the meantime, I'll be wrapping up some other art projects.

Progress has been pretty slow due to all the computer issues I've been having...Anyway...here's some early texture work on Spectre:
I plan on darkening her horns, and varying the pink glow on her shoulder wings. Still a lot of work left to do!
I love it.
Are you going to make a weapon?

See it on the Workshop here!
Any opinions?
Setting the otufit aside to work on her weapon and will do another pass when that's done
Spectre is done!
Thanks for the comments all Now I gotta figure out what to work on next...
High poly without paintovers/polypaint:
Spectre's polycounts are really generous compared to other heroes, so I tried to use everything that was allowed

Helenek called it when we imported the model too, and I doubted him since Valve said to use Weapon_0.. but he was right, not the workshop.
