Our concept for the project is of a demon breaking out of his cage and escaping from the confines of the dungeon. Traps/barriers are in place which the demon smashes through, eventually making his way up and out to freedom.
The art style we are thinking of is a painted texture look for a higher contrast feel. The game engine we will be using will be UDK and to effectively convey the demon's escape we will use a series of cinematic shots through matinee.
The environment will comprise of magical traps/ cages that hold the demon in place. The lowest level is a cavern type of dungeon and as the demon moves upwards, more buildings and structures will be seen. Eventually the demon breaks through the tower sitting above the cavern.
